The Library is part of the institution Since its inception in 1985.Library has very rich collection of books in various subjects of knowledge Serving as nerve. Sri. J C B M College Library came into existence when the college was started in .1964-65. Mr. B N Vishwanath was the first Librarian. He served till 1989,He gave a proper shape to the library with his long tenure of service. Sri.Anand and Sri. Balachandra were posted to served in the library thereafter.The library and reading room were located in the main buildings. In the year 1990 the library was shifted to the present new building.
Our college has an excellent Library which is housed in a specious building with all modern facilities. It contains a well classified and extensive collection of books. It has 52717 volumes and 36891 titles on its shelves fulfilling the curricular needs of the undergraduate students. All books in the library have been computerized with Easylib software. All the books are Shortly bar coded Also. Reading room of the college library should be used only for quiet study. Students are not permitted to speak to their friends in the reading room. A student shall be permitted to enter the library only on depositing his/ her identity card at the library counter. Library is open to students, members of the staff.

College Library is open on all days except on Public Holidays. It is kept open from 8.45 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Library is a two storied building. It is housed with the Administrative, issue section & the First Floor stack section, which is spacious to accommodate 55,000 volumes.

The Reference Hall which is a well-furnished spacious hall with a capacity to accommodate 100 students for their comfortable reading and study purpose is situated in the Issue Section. Books and reading Materials are available at the counter.

For the convenience of lady students, a separate wing is provided where 20 seats are exclusively reserved for them.

Perfect silence should be maintained in the Library.

Sufficient lighting arrangements are also provided in the Reference Hall with ceiling fans for the benefit of the readers and they may make use of them if necessary.

12 Daily Newspapers in Two Languages are displayed on the Newspaper Stand. Stands are kept at the very convenient place where reader may glance there at the time of his/her disposal.

Open access system: Students have to show their I.D, while entering the library and write their Name, Class, Roll no and sign the register kept at the counter. They have direct access to the books of their choice from the shelves.

Librarian and Library staff will always be happy to extend any help and guidance to students.

Entry is restricted up to the counter in the Library. Students are expected to maintain highest standard of discipline in the arrangement at the Library.

Smoking, using mobile phones etc. in the Library is strictly prohibited.

Online Public access Catalog (OPAC) i.e. search the author, title through computer is available.

Internet facility and Xerox facility is also available.
